Saudi Arabia COC customs clearance certificate application process

Saudi Arabia COC customs clearance certification usually refers to customs import and export related procedures and documents, including cargo clearance, tariff payment, etc. To carry out cross-border trade and logistics transportation in Saudi Arabia, you certainly need to understand some basic process knowledge. As a small expert in China-Saudi Arabia logistics line, it is my duty to share!

Saudi Arabia COC customs clearance certificate application process

1. Provide information to relevant inspection and certification agencies for review and make an appointment for inspection.

Power of attorney (the agency provides a template for the customer to fill out), packing list, invoice, test report (specific standards for the test report should be consulted with the accepting agency), etc.

2. Arrange inspection/installation supervision after approval.

After the production of this batch of shipped goods is completed, the inspector can go to inspect the goods. During this process, the inspector will randomly open several boxes to check the products inside, take photos and keep records, and prepare an inspection report to submit to the company for review.

3. Issue COC certificate.

After the inspection is completed, if there are any rectification opinions, the exporter must make rectifications before shipment. If there are no rectification opinions, the draft certificate will be issued to the exporter for verification. If it is correct, the original copy will be issued.

COC fee structure: product testing fee + certificate fee + transportation

In addition to the fees stipulated by the organization, applying for a COC certificate also requires a product testing fee. This testing fee does not have a unified standard and depends on the specific product. If the product the applicant needs to ship has a test report issued by a third-party laboratory , and the laboratory that issued the test report has CNAS17025 qualification, and the date of the report is no more than 1 year, it can generally be accepted directly. If the shipped product has been certified by other countries, as long as there is a test report and the report is issued Dates no older than 1 year are also acceptable. If the manufacturer has a CE certificate and a 3C certificate is acceptable, then the testing step can be avoided. As for the inspection fee, it is generally charged based on the FOB value x 0.50%, with a minimum of no less than 250 US dollars. The highest limit is US$2,675
