ONE adjustment of liquidated damages (CBA) for concealment, omission or misstatement of the name of levied goods, effective from January 1, 2023. (international logistics freight forwarder)

In order to provide reliable and safe transportation services, China Ocean Network Shipping Association (ONE) has adjusted the Compensation for Breach of Agreement (CBA) applicable to all shipping lines. The effective date is January 1, 2023.

According to the announcement, charges will be levied on goods whose names are concealed, missed or misstated.

The fee adjustment applies to non-dangerous goods with special reporting requirements, including but not limited to cargo with special loading requirements, non-hazardous chemicals, batteries, etc., ONE said.

Among them, in the case of conceal, omission or misstatement of product name at the pre-planning stage, but voluntary declaration and request to change the product name before and after the arrival of the goods at the destination port, the cost standard is US $3000 / box for non-dangerous goods with special declaration requirements, and US $15,000 / box for dangerous goods.

For the situation where the product name is forced to be changed due to the inspection of the shipping company that the product name is concealed, missed or misstated: the cost standard for non-dangerous goods with special declaration requirements is $6000 / box, and the cost standard for dangerous goods is $30000 / box.

ONE stressed that shipments should be declared in compliance with the requirements of the designated agency for all shipments. At the same time, ONE has the right to detain the goods until the customer pays the liquidated damages.
